National Grid Property Ltd
PR and Community Relations: Acting as National Grid Property’s Ltd Communications Centre North, Proscot handle a wide range of PR operations including 24-hour media response and a rolling programme of media relations on behalf of the company and more than 300 former gasworks sites
News Events: We handle large and small PR for events as varied as the televised demolition of the gasholders on the Forthquarter development site at Granton to a photo opportunity of a cheque handover to local charities. We manage the market launch of residential plots as successfully as day-to-day media responses for both national and regional media, including launching new facilities at Scottish Gas and Telford College
Awards: We compile and co-ordinate submission to industry recognised awards to promote the Forthquarter as part of the Edinburgh waterfront regeneration. To date successes include:

Partnership Liaison: Proscot represent National Grid on the Edinburgh Waterfront Partnership Board to ensure that the Forthquarter is fully integrated with the other developers and that the local community benefit wherever possible from employment opportunities and investment in the area.

Sony UK
Sponsorship: Proscot helped broker Sony UK’s founding sponsorship of the Scottish National Photography Centre (SNPC) concept, Scotland’s most exciting and ambitious visual arts project. The proposal was to house the centre in the former Royal High School building in Edinburgh.
Proscot helped announce the sponsorship to key national media, arranged events and exhibitions in support of the proposal, were instrumental in securing patronage from Sir Sean Connery and continues to provide ongoing PR support to those involved.

Lauder College
Proscot has helped Lauder College to promote themselves a key provider of further education facilities for Scotland. Consultancy responsibilities include corporate strategy, marketing support and crisis management.
Support began with a national crisis management campaign in May 2006. Lauder College faced a period of potential negative publicity following an outbreak of E-coli at a nursery school on their premises. Following successful handling of the issue Proscot were invited to become the College’s retained PR consultants.

Scottish Youth Hostels
PR and Marketing: Until recently Proscot managed SYHA’s marketing, promotional and PR requirements including 75th Anniversary events, the opening of the new Edinburgh Central hostel and the reopening of its Glasgow hostel fully refurbished following a fire.
After taking promotional and marketing elements in-house, Proscot are retained to provide issues management, corporate PR and internal communication advice.
Energy Saving Trust
PR: Proscot handled PR for Energy Saving Trust - Scotland transport programmes, including autogas+ and CleanUp designed to promote the use of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and other environmentally friendly automotive technologies. We prepared case studies and trials to support the initiative including endorsements from Lothian and Borders Police and the Forestry Commission. Proscot also successfully negotiated with Auto Trader magazine to include a regular section featuring vehicles using LPG.

Levi Strauss
PR and Community Relations: Proscot managed a programme of media and community relations in connection with the company’s need for downsizing and plant closures within Scotland over 1999 and again in 2002. We also worked with Scottish Enterprise to award Levi Strauss Charitable Foundation support in Lanarkshire, Tayside and West Lothian.
Committee On Radioactive Waste Management (Corwm)
In 2006, Proscot devised and ran a stakeholder and media outreach campaign for the independent advisory Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM).
Proscot’s involvement included organising an MSP-sponsored Seminar on CoRWM's work in the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood. The Seminar was attended by more than 15 MSPs.

Edelman
Regional PR: We successfully worked with our affiliate Edelman to promote Pfizer’s 2003 Healthy Neighbourhood Awards to a wide range of national Scottish media.

Sesh Hairdressers
Leith based hairdressing salon ‘Sesh’ have recently employed Proscot to help establish themselves as one Edinburgh’s most stylish hairdressing establishments.
We are currently engaged in identifying opportunities to generate local media interest and advising on PR strategy, marketing and advertising. Proscot manage the salon’s cutting edge reputation effectively and professionally and recently submitted entries on behalf of senior stylists for the 2006 L’Oreal Colour Awards and the 2007 GHD Awards resulting in local and trade coverage when the stylists reached the finals and industry recognition when the salon was represented at both prestigious award events.
Slaines Castle Redevelopment Project
Proscot are engaged in managing the PR surrounding the controversial £6 Million planned restoration of the 16th century Slaines Castle in Aberdeenshire.
Our remit includes addressing unrest in the local community and quashing attempts to discredit the development company.
Proscot have used their extensive experience to advise on legal issues surrounding access to the cliff top site, Section 75 responsibilities towards, maintenance of footpaths, erection of a bus stop and shelter and contributions to affordable housing in the area.
Transco
PR: Proscot was engaged to assist in local and regional PR initiatives in support of the company’s programme of gasholder demolitions across Scotland.
